David García López, current Rector of the European University Miguel de Cervantes (UEMC), holds a PhD with European Mention in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and Extraordinary Doctorate Award (University of León). At the UEMC he has held the positions of Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations and Vice-Rector for Academic Policy. Professor in master’s and doctoral programs in different Spanish universities, he is the author of more than 40 scientific articles published in international journals. Until this year he has been president of the Spanish delegation of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA Spain).
