Law Degree from the University of Extremadura.

PhD in Law from the University of Extremadura, with a thesis on “The special employment relationship of professional athletes”.

Master in Sports Law from the University of Lleida.

He has practiced as a Lawyer and later as a Magistrate of the Provincial Court of Badajoz in the Civil and Criminal Chambers.

Professor at the University of Extremadura, where he teaches Labor Law and Occupational Health and Safety at the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies in Badajoz.

He has been participating in different Research Projects and directing Research Works and Doctoral Theses.

He has made stays in several Universities in Europe and America.

He has been President of the Competition Committee and Single Competition Judge of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

Author of several publications on sports matters, such as El contrato de trabajo de los deportistas profesionales, El dopaje y la normativa sobre salud laboral, La injerencia de los derechos económicos en el mercado de trabajo del fútbol profesional español, Formación de deportistas y protección del menor, La resolución del contrato del deportista por falta de ocupación efectiva, among others.

Academic Director of the International Sports Management Program of FIFA’s CIES in Spain.

He has been giving numerous courses, workshops, seminars and conferences on Sports Law and Sports Management.

He works as a Consultant and Business Mediator, mainly in the areas of Governance, Compliance and Social Responsibility (VESSEL – Abogados y Consultores).

He is a member, among other associations, of the Spanish Association of Sports Law, the Extremadura Association of Sports Law, the Extremadura Association of Sports Managers.

Co-founder and member of the Spanish Institute of Sports Mediation and Pacification (IEMEDEP).

Mediator of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS/CAS – Lausanne – Switzerland).

FIFA Mediator (Zurich – Switzerland)

Arbitrator of the Committee of Experts in the Sports and Entertainment Industry of the European Association of Arbitration.
